We will do this by:

  • Running a Living Building Challenge design competition to identify new benchmarks in retail sustainability by 2016. The Living Building Challenge is an international sustainable building certification program created in 2006 by the not-for-profit International Living Future Institute. It is a philosophy, advocacy tool and certification program that promotes the most advanced measurement of sustainability in the built environment.
  • Training all staff in sustainability or innovation by 2017.
  • Establishing a new benchmark for Australian leadership in sustainability in the industrial sector by 2017.
