We were thrilled to welcome the local community for our recent Music in the Park event at what turned out to be a lovely warm Saturday night. The evening was filled with great music, colourful face painting, a magical sunset and more. With plenty of space to meet with neighbours and friends, guests immersed themselves in the spirit of the evening. Dynamiq provided the perfect beats at this family-friendly event, setting the stage for lively moments on the dance floor, tasty sausage sizzle, and some young locals providing a great rendition of Teenage Dirtbag and a Taylor Swift sing-a-long. The little ones enjoyed face painting, a magic show, and the older kids sharing their ideas for the future stage 23 park design. Thanks to Wallan District Cricket Club committee and members who provided enough sausages to feed the hungry crowd. After the event, we were pleased to be able to donate the 50 straw bales we used for seating to the local Mountain Brumby Sanctuary and the Seven Sisters Festival. Mountain Brumby Sanctuary focuses on saving, taming, and re-homing wild brumbies. The straw will be used for foal bedding. The rest was donated, via Mitchell Shire Council, to the Seven Sisters Festival which was held the following weekend. We love that we can not only create fun events for our community, but have some indirect impact on the groups and events around us. A heartfelt thank you to all of you who attended, making it a memorable event.
