Space to enjoy life from top floor balcony apartment

SYDNEY, 27 JULY 2018  Peering across the rooftops of Botany, and seeing the eye-catching lights of Sydney’s CBD, Michelle Skinner gets the feeling she is on holidays.

From her three-bedroom home in Tailor’s Walk, sitting pride of place atop the Baily building, Mrs Skinner has happily downsized and retirement is in full swing for her and her husband Michael.

“I find the views of rooftops, houses and trees calming and it gives you a holiday feel,” says Michelle, 64, who is excited with her new outlook and the privacy it offers during day and night.

The couple took happy memories of their former six-bedroom home in Pagewood with them in downsizing to their new Tailor’s Walk apartment. Sharing an abode with their extended family, while raising their children, required significant space, but now the Skinners prefer three bedrooms.

“Our friends are still nearby, and our old neighbourhood is just five minutes away, but now we live close to our daughter Laura in a very comfy, airy and bright apartment and we just love the north facing balcony,” says Mrs Skinner.

“Once we moved in we felt like we had lived here forever, and the bedrooms are all so well sized,” she says.

The Skinners’ expansive 11 metre balcony opens onto bedrooms and offers views to the city and airport. Across the road is another joy of their lives, the school their granddaughter Bella attends.

“She loves to know we are so close and we can share the load and help the family and Bella enjoy her time at school,” she says.

But there’s much more to the location of Tailor’s Walk, Mrs Skinner says.

“I like the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Botany Road around the corner, as opposed to living in a quiet street. There are always people and children about, and everything we want to do is a stroll away,” she says.

Leaving the car behind, the pair often frequent the Botany Road grocer, cafes and speciality stores.

Tailor’s Walk still has a selection of three-bedroom apartments available. The community features homes with private landscaped courtyards, a 3,000sqm park with play areas, fitness equipment and seating. Perfect for the Skinners to take Bella for a play.

Dino Carulli, Sales and Marketing Director – Residential NSW, Frasers Property Australia, says the mix of home designs still available at Tailor’s Walk means there is something for everyone.

“Living within close proximity to transport options and Sydney’s CBD provides Tailor’s Walk residents the benefits of connection, lifestyle and a home design that suits their needs,” says Mr Carulli.

“At Tailor’s Walk, residents can visit Botany Road for the café culture but also relax with their views across to the city and feel connected to that too,” he says.

A short walk from a newly opened park at Tailor’s Walk is a range of completed apartments available for inspection and ready to move into. Four new display homes were launched this month showcasing a variety of designs, including a two-bedroom, two-bathroom terrace-style apartment priced at $930,000; and a two-bedroom, two-bathroom flexible apartment priced at $930,000.

Also open for inspection is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom sixth floor apartment featuring expansive views of the local area and beyond to the CBD, available at $1,190,000 as well as a one-bedroom sixth floor apartment with study and priced at $705,000.
