Frasers Property Australia has appointed Tod O’Dwyer as its new General Manager – Residential WA.
Mr O’Dwyer has more than 30 years of experience in the residential development sector, focused primarily on the development of masterplanned communities. Prior to joining Frasers Property a decade ago, he worked with Delfin Lend Lease for 17 years in Queensland and Victoria.
He has relocated to Perth from Melbourne, where he has held the role of General Manager – Development & Design for the past nine years.
Cameron Leggatt, Executive General Manager – Residential, Frasers Property Australia says Mr O’Dwyer is one of the company’s most experienced executives with a passion for delivering strong, vibrant communities.
“Frasers Property has operated in Western Australian for more than 50 years. Tod’s move to Perth is a reinforcement of our commitment to Western Australia and our confidence in that market,” says Mr Leggatt.
“His extensive residential development expertise will be valuable as local indicators suggest the property market has begun to stabilise in Perth, especially for projects which offer a good value proposition to buyers.
“Tod has a particular passion for community development and sustainability which will benefit our major projects in WA as they progress,” says Mr Leggatt.
Frasers Property is progressing a number of major residential projects in Western Australia, with a development pipeline valued at approximately $925 million.
This pipeline includes the award-winning Port Coogee, where masterplanning of the southern peninsula is about to begin; Cockburn Central, where masterplanning of the final phase is underway; the launch of a new community in northern Perth; and Queens Riverside, where Frasers Property’s Perth office is located.
Mr O’Dwyer retains a number of national responsibilities at Frasers Property, especially in the areas of community development and sustainability, and he remains involved in the company’s broader national acquisition strategy and key project design reviews.
Mr O’Dwyer says he’s excited by the new role and the opportunity to work with the dynamic existing local team which includes veteran Development Director Stewart Carter and Sales & Marketing Director Cosimo Cutri.
“As an urban designer I have always strived to deliver great places that have a really strong sense of community. We recognise that in all our operations, and through our interactions with customers, we impact the lives of the people who call our communities home,” says Mr O’Dwyer.
“It’s a responsibility we don’t take lightly. The entire team shares this sense of responsibility and it drives us to create high quality, functional and beautiful homes in vibrant, inclusive communities,” he says.
