A special offer gives fledgling home hunters the chance to own one of these sophisticated apartments in North Ryde.

FIRST-home buyers have been given another chance to snap up an apartment in North Ryde’s Centrale development with just a 5 per cent deposit.

Launched last year, Centrale at 1 Delhi Rd originally offered 380 one-, two- and three-bedroom units and now has just 14 apartments left in one- and two-bedroom layouts.

Dino Carulli, Fraser Property’s NSW residential sales and marketing manager, said after getting a good reception for the 5 per cent deposit offer during its initial launch in April, they decided to extend the promotion for two more months, and are now ending it on August 30.

“We still have a number of apartments under $650,000 and buyers of these will basically get away without having to pay stamp duty,” he said.

Mr Carulli said that while there had been a stronger presence of first home buyers in the market since the stamp duty concessions were announced, these buyers had actually been quite active since the start of the year.

“We saw activity increase from the start of year and put it down to the fact that we have properties in most of our developments that are priced to suit first-home buyers,” Mr Carulli said. “There is also less competition for first-home buyers than when they are faced with an auction. We feel first-home buyers are deciding it’s easier to come to where they have choice and can take their time to secure a property.”

The one-bedroom apartments without car spaces are priced from $610,000 to $650,000, while the same layout plus a car space will set buyers back $725,000-$750,000.

The two-bedroom units are priced from $865,000 to $990,000. Designed by Turner, the project is located close to Lane Cove National Park and has been inspired by nature.

Turner director Kevin Driver said each of the four towers, which sit across two podiums, had two architectural components.

“The first element is typified by a series of blades that, in their form and colouration, reference trees due to their verticality and warm hues,” Mr Driver said. “The other component is a counterpoint to this, referencing the purity of pavilions set within a park. As such, these parts of the building are horizontal in composition, and are crisp white in colouration.”

Mr Driver said the apartment layouts had been designed carefully so there was no wasted space.

“They have been designed so the proportions of each space are appropriate to their use, and the relationships between the spaces support a considered approach to potential living patterns,” he said.

“The quality of the detailing and interior design ensures that this clarity of design continues from the large-scale civic gestures all the way to the smallest of details.”

The project also includes two communal courtyards that are elevated and feature landscaped spaces.

Centrale will be completed in December 2017.
