Key initiatives at RQ
Energy & Carbon
Target emissions reductions across Scope 1,2 and 3 emissions in line with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
Responsible Investment
Establish mandatory Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) considerations for all investment proposals.
Certification
Embed appropriate certification processes within teams and maintain current certification commitments.
Embedded energy
Anticipated for install in 2024, Rhodes Quarter will benefit from 100% Climate Active-certified carbon neutral energy via embedded network operator ‘Real Utilities’. This network will use energy infrastructure at Rhodes Quarter to take advantage of the renewable energy sources and energy efficient technologies available - think solar panels, batteries, air conditioning systems, smart meters, electric vehicle charging, and more. Real Utilities will then combine this with energy sourced from the grid, using buying power and benchmarking prices against the publicly advertised rates of the three biggest energy retailers in the area to receive the most competitive energy rates.

At Rhodes Quarter, Frasers Property owned buildings A, B, C, D and F target NABERS Energy, Water and Indoor Environment ratings annually and are part of our Green Star Performance portfolio. These ratings help measure sustainability performance against aspirations, enabling constant improvement of operations.

Green Star performance
Green Star Performance measures the operational performance of existing buildings and is part of Green Building Council Australia’s suite of Green Star tools. Undertaking Green Star performance compliments NABERS and measures aspects not considered by NABERS, including building management practices, innovation, and climate resilience. Frasers Property Australia has a 5 Star Green Star rating across its Office portfolio.

Emission reduction
Frasers Property targets emissions reductions across Scope 1,2 and 3 emissions in line with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). Net Zero pathways and L2 energy audits are currently being undertaken at Rhodes Quarter to help meet these objectives.
