About us
Founded in 2017, and is wholly owned by Active Utilities, Real Utilities provides cheaper, greener, simpler energy to homes and businesses across the country. We install, own and operate the embedded networks that power our customers' properties with 100% carbon neutral energy certified by Climate Active.
Our approach
We're proud to contribute towards a cleaner, greener planet through a combination of renewable energy technologies, such as solar PV, purchased carbon credits and ‘green finance’ loans – i.e. loans that support projects which have a positive impact on the environment. We believe that true change begins from the ground up.

With over 20 years' experience, Mick has led major network projects at Telstra and driven system transformation, regulatory reform, and customer service excellence at Active Utilities over the past 12 years.
With 40 years’ experience in leadership roles, with the last 11 years in Local Utility Networks.
Bringing over 20 years of extensive Human Resources experience across varied industries, Lauren shapes Active Utilities' People & Culture strategy to drive growth.
An accomplished manager with extensive experience in senior manufacturing and sales roles.
Hieu has over 15 years’ experience in the energy sector in the property industry, specialising in energy procurement, billing systems and retail operations.
Ray brings over 10 years’ experience in the embedded network and renewable energy industries to Real Utilities. Coming from Energy Trade, Ray managed extensive embedded network projects and renewable energy project delivery department
Kun has worked in the energy and utilities industry for over a decade, joining the Real Utilities team in 2022 as Energy Coordinator with expertise in meter data analysis, billing, and metering investigation.
