City of Mandurah National Tree Day 2019

Join us on Sunday 28 July from 10am-2pm at Frasers Landing!

Come along to our National Tree Day at Frasers Landing Core Conservation Area! All ages and abilities welcome.

Frasers Property Australia and the City of Mandurah are encouraging the local community to preserve and protect a significant portion of pristine bushland along the Serpentine River. 
 
FREE activities 
✔  Mandurah Tourist Fun Train for pick up and drop off to the planting zone and activity hub
✔  Fun sports and obstacle course  
✔  Learn about Mandurah’s Mosquitos at the Mossie Tent
✔  Learn about wildlife first aid with Mandurah Wildlife Centre
✔  Dudley Dolphin activities
✔  Free photography (please let us know if you do not want your photo taken)
✔  Food stalls
✔  Coffee Van

What to Bring
- Please bring a reusable drink bottle for refills 
- Please bring your own coffee cup/keep cup

What to Wear
- Enclosed shoes- sneakers or boots 
- Long sleeved shirts or jackets 
- Long pants
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Mosquito repellant    

 What's provided?
Gloves
- Tools and equipment for planting
- Watering cans and buckets
- Drinking water

Parking available along Landings Boulevard and at Coodanup Community College

Why Frasers Landing?
Frasers Landing Core Conservation Area is an ideal location for National Tree Day because it is a pristine bushland environment for  native wildlife, it runs along the Serpentine River and provides major habitat for protected and threatened species. Comprised of 52 hectares of riverine bushland, Frasers Landing is home to a 12-hectare Core Conservation Area that exhibits beautiful floral diversity and provides important feeding areas for wildlife.

The conservation area hosts a number of Tuart trees, pristine Banksia woodland and a number of other iconic flora species.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Ospreys, Honey Possums, Quenda, Brush Tailed Phascogales, Brushtail Possums, Shorebirds,  Rakali and Black Cockatoos all call Frasers Landing home? The location is a true hidden gem!
