Welcoming in the new year

We’ve kicked off the year with great momentum. The Brookhaven Collective, our resident-led group passionate about creating meaningful connections, came together to plan an exciting year ahead, including the return of all your favourite events and initiatives.

The annual Clean Up Australia Day returned in early March, once again bringing neighbours together alongside local representatives to care for our environment. Our Dungeons & Dragons group is now a monthly meet-up, embarking on a 12-month adventure. Coming up next is Neighbour Day, another great opportunity to connect with those living near you.

We’re excited to launch two new programs this year. Building on the success of Bush Babes, our new Explorer Program will empower parents to take the lead in hosting their own nature playgroups. Alongside this, we’re introducing a Pollinator Patch Working Bee program, to create a butterfly garden that will support and strengthen Brookhaven’s wildlife corridors.

Keep an eye out for your invitation to complete the annual Great Neighbourhood Survey in late March. Your ongoing participation and feedback helps us design and create communities you feel proud to call home.

Community Resilience

Like the rest of Queensland, the City of Logan is not immune to the threat of natural disasters such as floods, bushfires, heatwaves and severe weather. We know that as a community we may not be able to prevent disasters or serious events from occurring, however we can prepare our community and enhance our resilience to the adverse impact of any threat through effective pre-planning.
