Welcome to our May Community Update.

Port Coogee Clean-Up Day: A Wet and Wonderful Success Sunday 25 May 2025

Despite the cold and rainy weather, over 60 amazing volunteers came together for the Port Coogee Clean-Up Day – this was perfectly timed with National Volunteers Week.

A big congratulations to everyone who helped out, including Mayor Logan K. Howlett and his wife Pat, Councillors Phoebe and Kevin, and a massive shoutout to the Port Coogee Community Association (PCCA) for organising the event and securing a Volunteering WA grant.

The BBQ and bike giveaways added extra energy to the day. Congratulations to the lucky winners, Peta and Xavier!

Again, well done to everyone who showed up – your community spirit truly made the day shine.

Port Coogee Community Association Members General Meeting

It was so great to see a strong turnout at the PCCA Community Meeting at Regis in mid-May. Over 65 residents attended the recent Port Coogee Community Association (PCCA) General Meeting, highlighting growing community interest and involvement.

Get Involved!

The PCCA is seeking volunteers for the Events Committee, help with communications (Facebook and website), and expressions of interest for the Secretary role, as the current volunteer steps back but stays on the committee.

Advocacy Update

The committee continues to engage with the City of Cockburn and local MPs to progress key projects like the bike path and power station site. Early discussions have been very positive with these projects.

Thanks to all who attended and continue to support our vibrant community.
