Frasers Property Australia has sold the site for the planned Baldivis Parks Neighbourhood Shopping and Childcare Centre to Oreana Property. Oreana can't wait to deliver the new neighbourhood shopping and childcare centre.

The proposed shopping centre and childcare site is part of Frasers Property’s Baldivis Parks masterplanned community which has been designed as a family-friendly environment with a series of green open spaces and natural bushlands with easy access to key transport routes and facilities, just 11km from Rockingham.

Upon completion, the 5,500sqm site at the entrance to the Baldivis Parks community (2 Daintree Street, Baldivis), which is proposed to incorporate a supermarket, specialty shops, a much-needed childcare centre and associated car parking. It’s in the heart of a rapidly expanding catchment, with the population of Baldivis North recorded in 2022 as 12,396 and forecast to grow to 31,352, or 152.93%, by 2046.

The site is easily accessible from the Kwinana Freeway and other major arterial roads including Mundijong Road and Safety Bay Road, both of which have seen recent significant increases in passing traffic.

Tod O’Dwyer, General Manager Development – Western Australia, Frasers Property Australia says with a proven track record in delivering quality neighbourhood centres, Oreana Property is the ideal partner to bring the Baldivis Parks Neighbourhood Shopping and Childcare Centre to life.

“The Centre will be an important focal point for the growing community, and we will work together with Oreana Property during the planning and design phases to ensure that the project is consistent with the character and design of Baldivis Parks,” says Mr O’Dwyer.

The thriving Baldivis Parks community is nestled between Baldivis Road and Kwinana Freeway and is already home to approximately 1,300 residents. In addition to its easy access to major arterial roads and transport, its eight parks will encompass almost seven hectares of public open space upon completion, and with over ten schools and education facilities in the immediate vicinity, Baldivis Parks is particularly appealing to families.

“The addition of the new neighbourhood shopping and commercial centre will bring greater convenience and complement the growing community very well,” says Mr O’Dwyer.
Baldivis Parks Neighbourhood Shopping and Childcare Centre will be the second West Australian project for Oreana Property following planning approval for its Butler Village retail precinct in Perth’s northern corridor in June 2022.

Tony Sass, Managing Director at Oreana Property, says the company is pleased to be developing such a vital neighbourhood shopping and childcare centre as part of its expansion into Western Australia.

“Our first priority is to create a design for the site that responds to the Baldivis Parks community’s needs as well as the natural environment,” says Mr Sass.
“Based on our current timetable, we expect to lodge a development application by early 2023 once the design and planning is completed.

“We look forward to continuing our close working relationship with Frasers Property as well as with local builders, retailers and service providers to deliver a project which meets and exceeds community expectations,” says Mr Sass.
