A Quick Q&A with Kaylene McTernan

19 September 2023

It’s hard to believe that it’s just over a year ago when we introduced Kaylene McTernan, the new Project Sales Manager at Frasers Landing. Kaylene has quickly become part of the Frasers Landing community, and loves introducing new residents to such a well-regarded community, in such a beautiful location. We asked her how she feels about Frasers Landing today.

“Frasers Landing is an example of a community that the developer has carefully considered with regards to conservation and the natural beauty of the area, retaining beautiful trees and large areas of conservation space,” said Kaylene.

“Besides being a tranquil spot by the Serpentine River, it also has a fantastic community.

“Local residents are involved in producing a calendar each year via our Community Development Manager, Michelle. Last year the calendar showcased the wildflowers in the community, and this year will showcase the local fauna. Beautiful photographs of kangaroos and local bird life collected by residents will be showcased in next year’s calendar.

“And of course, Frasers Landing is conveniently close to shopping, transport and other amenities.”

To celebrate a year on the job, we thought we’d surprise Kaylene with a quick spot test of some of those Frasers Landing amenities!

Getting around

  • Distance from Frasers Landing to the Perth CBD? 67 kilometres. There are multiple accesses to Forrest Highway – 14km via Pinjarra Road - then you can continue on via the Kwinana Freeway.
  • Public transport options? The local bus stops right outside the Frasers Landing Community Centre on Wanjeep Street. Mandurah train station is only 2.4km away, from where it’s a relaxing 54-minute ride to the Perth CBD.

Nearby amenities

  • Nearest ocean beach? Town Beach and Comet Bay are both a quick drive away, around 6km, and Halls Head Beach is 8km.
  • Closest local shopping centre? The refurbished Mandurah Forum – a large regional shopping centre with a big food court - is just 2.6kms from Frasers Landing.
  • Popular local cafes? Nourishing the Soul is a personal favourite! Great food and coffee on the canals in Dudley Park, just 2.4km from Frasers Landing.
  • Dog friendly park? The Leslie Street Dog Park in Dudley Park, on the corner of Waterside Drive and Leslie Street, is only 2.2km away. The fenced park is a great place for dogs of all sizes to safely play and exercise with their owners, with plenty of shade and water.

Young families

  • Kid-friendly park? We have our own child-friendly parks at Frasers Landing - one beside the lagoon and the Serpentine River (via Landings Boulevard) and one in Kalumba Road.
  • Childcare/early learning? Straight across the road from Frasers Landing Stage 5 is the World of Kids Child Care Centre Mandurah.
  • Nearby schools? Plenty of options! Coodanup College and Mandurah Catholic College are close to Frasers Landing, and depending on your catchment area, the primary school options are Dudley Park or Mandurah Primary School.
