The Waterfront, Shell Cove has welcomed a stunning new arrival! Conversations, a striking figurative sculpture by Phillip Piperides, is made of aluminium and steel and depicts two women conversing poolside. A clear local favourite when it was featured as part of the 2023 PromenART sculpture walk at Shell Cove, Conversations now has a permanent home at Shellharbour Marina thanks to a collaboration between Shellharbour City Councill and Frasers Property Australia. Community Development Manager Tina Britton says the piece will reflect its own name and provoke conversations. Young budding sculptors inspired by the new addition might want to try their hand at another form of sculpting. Shell Cove hosts two days of free school holiday sand sculpting demonstrations at the Marina Foreshore (next to the kids’ beach) with the first session completed today and continuing tomorrow Wednesday 23rd April, from 10am to 2pm. Have you been atop the Marina Services building? Above the building, is one of the best vantage points across the entire precinct, and accessible to everyone.
