5 Ways To Make The Most Of Your Weekend

Your Guide To The Ultimate Weekend In (And Around) Ed.

02 September 2022

South West Sydney is jam-packed with things to do and sights to see. Yes, we may be biased in saying that our region is one of the best in Sydney, but after exploring our food, arts and events scene, it’s easy to understand why.

Whether you’ve just moved into the area or are visiting for the day, here’s a local’s guide to the ultimate weekend in Ed.Square and South West Sydney.

Taste of The World - Liverpool
Discover what the locals know and where the foodies go on a Taste of the World food tour. From the Balkans to the Middle East and India, this culinary journey is your backstage pass to Liverpool’s best-kept foodie secrets.

Talented local refugee and migrant guides share stories of culture and settlement, served up with mouth-watering delights from their homelands. Dosa burek, buffi, manoush (pizza) and falafel, to name a few. Tours are hosted every second weekend and ticket sales are reinvested into helping new refugees and migrants get the experience and skills they need.

Start your day with a safari-like experience over the Zoo's African Boardwalk. Then get up close to one of the world's most iconic Australian animals at a Koala Encounter. Plan your visit by checking the daily schedule of free keeper talks and feeding and photo opportunities.
