The finer details at The Waterfront are coming together…
There are 415 timber piles that are currently being shaped for their piling caps. The piles were all sourced from Forestry plantations in NSW and QLD.
The main species used were Blackbutt, Spotted Gum, Broadleaf Ironbark, Tallowwood and Coastal Box.
The boardwalk kerb blocks are being installed along most of the 800 lineal meters of timber boardwalk that wraps around the harbour's edge. Also, lighting and seating around the foreshore are taking shape and provide for many vantage spots once the harbour is open later this year.
