Meet the Community Development team at The Waterfront, Shell Cove. Tina and Karley help in creating an enriching and engaging place to live by facilitating events and community activities each month. These regular events offer residents a space to connect with one another and the opportunity to meet new people in the community.
Books by the Harbour is a relaxed, welcoming group who take turns hosting monthly meet ups in their homes to share a love of reading, great conversation, and community connection.
Love to garden or simply enjoy being outdoors? The Shell Cove Community Garden welcomes everyone to get involved, learn new skills, and help nurture a thriving community space.
We're proud to support Family Services Australia to bring these FREE outdoor sessions for children aged 0–5 years back to Shell Cove for 2026!
Join the Waterfront Walkers every Wednesday for a relaxed one hour stroll around the Marina, followed by a well earned coffee and chat.
Did you know Neighbour Day is celebrated nationally each year on the last Sunday in March?
A relaxed, skill-building watercolour journey designed to help you explore techniques, build confidence, and create beautiful, finished pieces along the way. Each session can stand alone or be enjoyed as part of the full series.
These events are all about bringing together over 55 singles who are seeking connection!
Got a little person in your life? Join us for Toddler Tales Storytime, a fun and welcoming morning of storytelling, songs, rhymes and craft.
Autumn has arrived, bringing cooler days and stunning colours perfect for joining us up at The Farm for a grounding yoga session surrounded by nature and stunning views.

Eats & Beats
Thank you to everyone who joined us for a fun-filled afternoon at Eats & Beats @ The Marina 2025. It was a fantastic day of family entertainment, laughter, and community celebration at The Waterfront, Shell Cove!
Kidsfest
The spectacular lantern parade at The Waterfront, Shell Cove was the perfect backdrop and a fitting finale to Shellharbour’s KidsFest Shellharbourthis year.
The weather was kind and everyone made the most of it, enjoying the lantern making, music and storytelling. The stilt walkers were a big hit too.
This year’s theme of Growing Peace and Trust was celebrated along the Marina foreshore to make it a great family event. Thanks to Shellharbour City Council, Circus Monoxide, Junkyard Rascals and all the other local businesses, organisations and residents for making KidsFest so much for fun for the whole family.
Winter Solstice
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at The Waterfront, Shell Cove for our Winter Solstice celebrations!
With three days of perfect weather, delicious food, live music, and plenty of family fun, the turnout was fantastic – and the vibes were even better.
Special thanks to our wonderful co-hosts, Shellharbour City Council, and to everyone who made it a weekend to remember.

Mothers Day Art Workshop
Join local artist Dani Franza on the 3rd May 7pm-9pm at The Waterfront Sales Centre for a relaxed and creative evening where we will learn the art of watercolour florals. This beginner-friendly workshop explore the basics from techniques to flower painting, and bring home a beautiful artwork or card for yourself or a special Mum in your life. Cost is $20 and includes artwork, glass of wine and nibbles.
Tech Savvy Seniors
We are partnering with Shellharbour City Libraries and Kiama Community College to bring digital literacy classes to Shell Cove. The 8 weekly sessions starting from the 12th February will cover a range of digital literacy topics. Attend one or all sessions (each requires a separate booking) to confidently stay connected, learn at your own pace, access important information and topics of interest.
PromenART
PromenART celebrated creativity, culture, and the Shell Cove community and featured a range of activities and activations including over 40 public art pieces along the marina’s edge supported with a program of markets, workshops, live music and more! For more information visit www.promenart.com.au
Sculpture Walk
The region’s largest sculpture display joined the large-scale mural by local community groups and accomplished artists which kicked off the PromenART ehibition.
Outdoor cinema sessions
Outdoor cinema screenings over the school holidays by The Waterfront kids beach has been popular this year with family and friends coming together on the lawn for evenings of fun, laughs and free-family fun.
Shellharbour Rocks the Marina
The Shell Cove Town Centre was buzzing with sleek sounds of local musicians performing along the boardwalk and in eateries. It was an awesome day for everyone with family-friendly activities including farmyard animals and a circus zone.
