Ironbark

Eucalyptus fibrosa

A forest tree commonly found on ridges and higher ground, the Broad-Leaved Ironbark is a large and proud tree with a round canopy. It is immediately recognisable by its strong vertical trunk with dark coloured and deeply furrowed and fissured bark.

Paperbark

Melaleuca quinquenervia

Commonly found along the creek corridors of Brookhaven, the Broad-Leaved Paperbark exhibits white and beige papery bark after which the tree is named. The Paperbark blossoms in late spring to autumn with bottlebrush-like flowers.

Spotted Gum

Eucalyptus maculata

With its distinctive smooth, powdery bark, the Spotted Gum is an iconic Australian tree. You’ll find Spotted Gums throughout the major parks of Brookhaven.

Grey Gum

Eucalyptus punctata

Growing up to 35 metres high, you’ll see many Grey Gums around Brookhaven, with white flowers blooming in the summer months. Grey Gums are a favourite habitat of possums, gliders, and koalas.

Haven Honey

Bees are critical for biodiversity and food supply, so we’re doing our bit by housing six bee hives at Brookhaven, in collaboration with Bee One Third. These 'busy' bees produce 180kg of sustainably sourced raw Haven Honey annually, which is gifted to all new residents. Visitors are welcome to look in on our hives or participate in exclusive workshops with resident beekeeper Jack Stone from Bee One Third.
