In-hive Experience & Beeswax Candle Making Workshop

Children aged 8 to 15 are invited to observe life in the beehives and make their own beeswax candles during this FREE school holiday workshop.

As the hives are opened up by beekeeper Jack Stone of Bee One Third, your child will see first hand what life is like inside the peaceful yet intriguing life of bees and their intrepid queen! They will also have the opportunity to create their very own candles from 100% natural beeswax. Everyone will leave with two beeswax candles, one rolled candle and one tea light candle.

Time: 9am to 11am

Location: Brookhaven Bean Cafe, 33 Menora Road, Bahrs Scrub. Free parking available.

What is the recommended age?

This workshop is suitable to children aged 8 to 15 years old. Parents are welcome to watch from the Brookhaven Bean Cafe, located meters away from the hives.

What should I wear?

All participant MUST wear a long sleeve top with long pants and closed in shoes. In case of allergy, please bring an Epipen and notify the organiser on the day.

Cancellations

Workshops may be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. If unwell, please stay home and cancel your tickets as we will have an active waitlist.
