Unique take on life by the river
Australand's Newport project has 34 luxury apartments, priced from $715,000 to $2.095 million.

Cameron Leggatt said the design had also created an atrium space, which drew extra light into foyers on each floor. "The architect's inspiration for the rippling effect along the building is the Brisbane River it's meant to mimic the movements of the river," Mr Leggatt said.
"And the stencil pieces made from precast concrete relate to the root structure of the tree line." Australand expects to draw luxury buyers looking for more space, with 25 three-bedroom and only nine two-bedroom apartments.
Three-bedroom designs also have two car parks and some have storage rooms.
The kitchens include a cafe bar zone with separate sink featuring a wine fridge and a Zip tap for boiling and chilled water.
Extra touches include large amounts of kitchen storage and cupboard lighting, with a bench top up to 3.3m long.
Mr Leggatt also expects to see strong sales following a rise in market confidence this year.
The medium to low-density Hamilton Reach community has been developed in a number of stages and includes apartments and terrace homes.
Buyer confidence has seen the 55 sales in 2011, when the project was launched, double to 110 sales in 2013.
"There is only a finite supply of riverfront property in Brisbane and I think everyone aspires to live on the river," Mr Leggatt said. "I think in the last six months the market has started to improve and there is definitely more confidence." Buyers who had to sell their existing properties were now in a better position to trade out and buy an apartment.
Mr Leggatt said the maturity of the precinct was also helping.
"People can now drive around and visualise it," he said.
"When we first launched, people would walk up to a construction fence... those people really took a leap of faith. Now, the riverwalk has gone in, the road and parks have gone in, people can visualise what it's going to be like down here."
