Berwick Waters Quarterly Project Update - August 2021

Dear Residents and Community Members,

As promised, we will provide quarterly updates on the different projects underway in the local area, including those within Berwick Waters. For your reference, we’ve summarised the major components and included updated details on their status in the table below.

There are many stakeholders and organisations involved in the design, planning and delivery of the different projects, and obviously there are some broader COVID-19 challenges we’re all facing at the moment. Nevertheless, there has been steady progress made in recent times on a number of components of the project, which we are pleased to update you on.

Roadworks and work on the wetlands are well underway, however market conditions and lockdown mean challenges remain in the retail leasing of the Waterside Centre. The good news is that the design and planning for the future Town Centre has progressed well with Council.
