Community alive and well - and active! - at Frasers Landing

Yarn & Stitch

As anyone who lives at Frasers Landing knows, the Community Centre is the heart and hub of this friendly, thriving local community. With an inclusive calendar of events, the centre also reaches out to include the wider Mandurah community!

Located at 1 Landings Blvd, Coodanup, the Community Centre is well-loved and well used - we are fortunate to have such an amazing amenity right here on our doorstep, amongst the trees.

The Community Centre schedule includes everything from knitting to photography, gardening to mosaics, children’s theatre to emergency training, and family and health support groups.

On Thursday afternoons, it’s Communi-Tea. Drop-in for a free cuppa as you listen to compelling stories from featured local community groups and members. The Yarn & Stitch Niche is a friendly social group that enjoys a cuppa and a chat - whether you’re into crochet, knitting, embroidery or other craft, bring along your project and join in. The Mosaic Group offers sessions for beginners to advanced, for just $2 a session. For more information on any of these three groups, contact charmaine@befriend.org.au

The Chameleon Theatre Factory celebrates young creatives aged six to sixteen, fostering self-development and creative expression through theatre-making and performance. See more on their Facebook page.

The Peel Photographic Group, Arts Culture Peel and the Peel branch of Men of the Trees are all groups that meet regularly at the Frasers Landing Community Centre. You can get in touch via their Facebook page if you’re keen to get involved.

There are plenty of other ways you can connect with your Frasers Landing community. Check out the notice board at the Community Centre and you can also connect with Michelle, the amazing Community Development Manager at Frasers Property, on 9214 7976 or email communitywa@frasersproperty.com.au

Connecting with community groups like these are so important for our mental and emotional wellbeing. Usually run by volunteers, they would love to hear from you, so whatever your age, interests, take the next step and become part of your active and engaged Frasers Landing community!
