Welcome to our May Community Update!

Discover all of the exciting events and activities coming up in June and find out how construction works are progressing within Baldivis Grove.

Baldivis & Districts Men's Shed

Updates on the Baldivis & Districts Men’s Shed due to be built on the corner of Pike and Eighty Road can be found through the monthly City of Rockingham bulletin on this project. The Corporate and Community Development Agenda is available on the City’s website here. Updates on the Men’s Shed project are included on pages 596 and 597.

Get ready to FOGO like a pro!

FOGO

The City of Rockingham is delivering the FOGO ready kits to households ready for first collections at the end of June 2025. Keep your eye out for yours arriving soon! They are also hosting some information sessions – you can go along and find out what the new service means for you 🌱🚛 “Keeping your food waste out of landfill has never been easier!”

Session times and locations:

🗓️ 7 June, 7am–12pm – Baldivis Lions Community Market (No registration required)
🗓️ 11 June, 6.30–7.30pm – Mary Davies Library and Community Centre
🗓️ 18 June, 6.30–7.30pm – Gary Holland Community Centre

July 19th – Mud Kitchens and Loose parts Play in Nature.

Let imaginations run wild in a morning of open-ended, nature-based play! Stir up forest stew in the mud kitchen, build wild contraptions, or simply follow curiosity wherever it leads.

Tamworth Wetlands Parkrun – move and make friends!

Every Saturday at 8:00am. A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you! General Works in the Community

Stage 9 Parkland

Delivery of the central park to connect to the existing green space is due for completion in December 2025.

Stage 9 Land Lots

This final stage is currently under construction and progressing well. Construction is due for completion in July.

Lots 383 and 384

Construction of 2 lots are underway, located to the western end of Thornton and Gibberd Street. Completion of these 2 lots hail the end of all land lot developments within the estate.

Stage 10 - Energisation

Western Power have advised that energisation of this stage is programmed for early June 2025.
