Mandurah Community Garden Festival

Community Gardens Festival

Showcasing the gardens to the Mandurah community

The Mandurah Community Gardens Festival was held on the 8th of October 2017 with the aim to showcase the gardens to the Mandurah community.

The community gardens is a place where people can come together to learn about gardening, link in with like-minded people and share ideas around sustainability, organic gardening, environment and mental health.

The garden festival had approximately 350 people attending with guest speaker Sabrina Hahn, a passionate gardener, who spoke to the group about spring time garden jobs and answered questions relating to all things gardening.

The event had plant and gift stalls, gardening tips and information as well as a coffee and curry van. Music was also provided by Ricky Green.

The event created a buzz for the community gardens with a number of membership enquiries during the event and more people wanting to be part of the gardens.
