What an amazing effort by all involved – 7,000 native trees planted!
Together, with our volunteers and partners, we achieved our goal of planting over 7,000 seedlings donated by Frasers Property Australia for National Tree Day at the beautiful Frasers Landing Core Conservation area on the Serpentine River foreshore.
HUGE THANKS to all involved including Peel Men of the Trees, City of Mandurah, Frasers Property, Mandurah Toyota, Natural Ares Crew, Rotary Treemission and all of the energetic volunteers. The whole planting area was teeming with environmentally minded community members from all walks of life aiming to regenerate the area, provide habitat for Mandurah wildlife and enjoy a fantastic community event.
Over 600 people visited throughout the day – the largest ever turnout for this annual event! This was also the first event that Frasers Landing had partnered with the City of Mandurah, we even had a visit from our very popular Mayor Rhys Williams and Deputy Mayor Caroline Knight!
It was really wonderful to see so much participation on the day including; our wonderful residents hosting a fundraising morning tea, scout groups, Peel Harvey Catchment Council and loads of families. The kids really loved the Spirit of Mandurah train rides and the Crazy Critters show too!
Check out some of the great photos captured on the day with even more available here!
