SYDNEY, 5 SEPTEMBER 2020
The spectacular harbourfront lifestyle at The Waterfront, Shell Cove continues to have widespread appeal, with 49 apartments sold at the launch of Nautilus, the community’s premium luxury address, on Thursday.
Buyers have shown keen interest in the premium apartments with more than 1,100 people having registered their interest ahead of the public launch.
Located in an absolute harbourfront position, Nautilus will comprise 116 apartments in a mix of one, two and three-bedroom layouts offering choice, water views and true harbourside living in the masterplanned community by Shellharbour City Council, with Frasers Property Australia.
Residents will enjoy resort-style facilities with almost every apartment offering views of the harbour and some with views of the ocean.
Two apartments with large balconies in the upper levels of Nautilus were among the first to be sold, for $2.150 million and $2.265 million respectively.
“While we were always optimistic about strong demand for the premium apartments at Nautilus, the level of interest, particularly from local buyers who dominated the sales, has exceeded our expectations. Nautilus is unlike anything ever offered before on the South Coast and local people particularly recognise this,” says Simone Dyer, Development Director, Frasers Property Australia.
“The convenient, connected waterside lifestyle also appeals to younger buyers. There’s a noticeable trend of younger people seeking low-maintenance apartment living with easy access to a full range of amenities, among beautiful natural surrounds.
“Nautilus residents will enjoy a resort-style pool, private gym and rooftop terrace, with a town centre, tavern and restaurants at their doorstep, all within an easy walk of the beach. The attractive entry price point for these harbourside apartments has also provided an opportunity for first home buyers for whom harbourside living would otherwisehave been a pipedream.
“With Nautilus apartments now available for sale to the public, people should act quickly as these premium apartments are in strong demand,” Ms Dyer says.
One-bedroom apartments are priced from $550,000 to $590,000, two-bedroom apartments are $650,000 to $935,000 and three-bedroom harbourfront apartments are priced from $1,150,000 to $1,750,000.
Designed by award-winning architectural firm Smart Design Studio, Nautilus comprises two buildings of six and four storeys connected by a common podium, with a luxurious resort-style pool surrounded by lush landscaped gardens. An expansive roof top terrace will capture stunning views of the dramatic Illawarra escarpment.
Residents of Nautilus will also have access to a private gym and yoga deck and be able to step out of the building onto the harbourside boardwalks which frame the harbour’s edge.
Inside the apartments, generous proportioned open-plan interiors draw inspiration from the coastal environment, with a natural and calming colour palette in a choice of light, warm or dark. Living rooms with floor to ceiling windows offer natural light and unbroken views across the marina and coastline, while cross flow ventilation invites sea breezes to complete the indoor-outdoor harmony.
Open plan kitchens include large islands with vast sleek stone benchtops, natural timber veneers, polyurethane joinery, in-built pantries, Smeg appliances and the choice of tile or timber floor finish. Contemporary bathrooms showcase stone benchtops, stone floor tiles, and floor to ceiling wall tiles.
Subject to approval, construction of Nautilus is expected to commence in the first half of 2021 when Shellharbour Marina will be open and operational. Completion of Nautilus is scheduled for late 2023.
