Wineries and cellar doors a plenty

A lesson to come out of recent months it is the importance of health, family and when we get caught up rushing through each day, don’t forget to take a moment to stop and smell the rosé – and fortunately for you, the South Coast is home to some of the best!

From Silos, Simall, Crooked River to Coolangatta, there is no shortage of cellar doors to experience but we highly recommend making a day of it because beyond each award-winning drop is a remarkable story.

It has been a difficult period for the region’s vineyards, majority of which have been handed down from one generation to the next, as they’ve been forced to battle their way through droughts, fires and flooding.

And when mother nature wasn’t unleashing on their crops, COVID-19 has wrecked havoc on their events calendar.

But as the weather starts to warm up, the sun is shining and confidence slowly starts to return, there are never been a more perfect - or vital - time to explore, support and experience the unique flavours of the South Coast…

To the south…

Silos Estate

WineryThe Silos Estate label, along with their sister range, Wileys Creek, has featured at several award-winning restaurants around the state, but nothing compares with the experience of learning their story direct from their cellar door.

They have become a pillar within the Shoalhaven Community and offer a full stay, wine and dine experience.
