Dockside Homes – October 2023

Welcome to the latest Construction Update.

We’re excited to keep you informed about how the project is progressing, give you insights into the construction process and ensure you’re up to date with the development of your new community.

Our dedicated teams have been working tirelessly, and we are pleased to report that the installation of external cladding is well underway, and work on the eaves of the lower roofs continues to progress smoothly. These elements are critical not only for aesthetics but also for the building's structural integrity.

The roof flashings and capping of parapet walls are being diligently completed.

Window & door installation completed - Alfresco

Our teams have successfully completed the installation of brickwork, adding an attractive exterior finish to the structure. Simultaneously, the plumbing rough-in work is complete, setting the groundwork for essential plumbing systems.

We have commenced both the mechanical and electrical rough-in installations. This includes laying the foundation for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and electrical systems. We anticipate completing the internal services rough-ins for water, gas, electrical, and mechanical in the coming weeks.

The alfresco scaffolding will begin to be stripped down shortly as we move closer to the final stages of the project. This will allow us to commence external painting and rendering, enhancing the building’s appearance.

Concurrently, the installation of external downpipes, window sunshades and screens will start. These features not only contribute to the building’s functionality but also its aesthetic appeal.

The installation of insulation and internal linings is also on the horizon. These elements are crucial for ensuring energy efficiency, temperature control, and the overall comfort of the interior spaces.

Site Safety

We understand and share your growing interest and excitement as your new home begins to take shape. We are also highly committed to the safety of our purchasers and members of our construction team. Hence, we would like to remind you that at no time are any of our purchasers permitted to enter the construction site or fenced compounds, as doing so places you at risk of accident or injury.
