Residents enjoyed the series of three maker events
Frasers Property proudly presented a series of three Meet the Maker events at Queens Riverside. Each session could hold approx. 25-30 residents and proved to be very popular booking out quickly.
The first event was held on June 28th - Winter Wines, Cheese & Chocolate presented by Locally Crafted, a group who brings together like minded small crafters. Residents enjoyed tasting local wine, cheese and chocolate crafted by Perth makers.
The second event was held on July 26th - A Journey through Gin. This was hosted by High Spirits distillery, an independent family owned and operated Artisan Distillery producing spirits in small batches our of Perth. Residents enjoyed tasting various gins crafted by High Spirits and nibbles by Tapasman.
The final event in the series was held on August 26th hosted by Intentio Nature. Intentio is a Latin work meaning 'attention' or 'purpose'. Alchemy: any magical power or process of transmitting a common substance, usually of little value, into a substance of great value. Residents learnt that by paying attention to the ingredients in the skin and body care products we use and with a bit of magic and imagination, divine "skin food" can be created at home. The interactive workshop was a great success and residents crafted and took home their own body scrub and face mask. Plus enjoyed a healthy snack from The Passionate Pantry.
This was the first year running the Meet the Maker series at Queens Riverside. Residents who attended the sessions had extremely positive feedback and thoroughly enjoyed meeting the makers and learning about each topic.
Thank you to all the Makers who took part and to residents for getting involved in these fun and interactive events.
