The PFD warehouse, located on Muir Road in Sydney’s Inner West suburb of Chullora, is one of the most technologically advanced temperature-controlled food processing and distribution facilities in Australia.

It has received a 5 Star Green Star Design & As Built rating from the Green Building Council of Australia.

As market leaders in industrial development, we are committed to maintaining this position.

“The PFD project gave us the opportunity to create a state-of-the-art industrial infill development at an established location. The facility contributes significantly to the renewal already underway in Chullora and benefits the local community in providing over 200 jobs on a clean remediated site.”

He added, “The striking architectural design, utilising quality materials and finishes, combined with outstanding environmental credentials has greatly assisted PFD improve its supply chain efficiencies.”

Key building features include a technologically advanced refrigeration system and insulated building fabric, recessed dock and levellers, an ESFR sprinkler system and rain water harvesting for toilet flushing and irrigation. Power consumption is supplemented by a 750kW solar PV system.

The PFD site was previously home to a 40-year old outmoded and dilapidated waste transfer station and was heavily contaminated. A tributary also ran into it from the Cooks River. Frasers Property worked with several stakeholders including Canterbury-Bankstown Council, Sydney Water, The Department of Primary Industries and EPA to remediate the area.
