Community Fairy Garden

22 April 2026

Have you discovered the fairy garden in the pocket park on Parkside Circuit yet? Tucked away beside Green Quarter, this small but much-loved green space is a hidden gem at Hamilton Reach, and a beautiful example of what happens when a community comes together to care for shared spaces.

The garden has been thoughtfully created and lovingly maintained under the stewardship of Leigh and David Kortlang, who many of you will also recognise as recent supporters and sponsors of our Movie in the Park. Alongside other local residents, they’ve helped shape this space into something truly special. It now features a growing collection of herbs, fruit trees, and native plantings, with bees and pollinators regularly visiting, bringing the garden to life in every season.

What makes this space so special is that it continues to evolve through small contributions and shared care. It’s a place for discovery, reflection, and connection, whether you’re stopping by on a walk, showing visiting friends, or simply taking a quiet moment outdoors.

Next time you’re in the area, we encourage you to wander through and see what’s growing. And if you feel inspired, you’re warmly invited to contribute something of your own, whether it’s a plant, a small addition, or a bit of care. If you do, we’d love you to take a photo and share it with us so we can celebrate the garden growing together.

It’s another wonderful example of how Hamilton Reach residents continue to shape and share spaces that bring us closer as a community.
