Unique homes in Brisbane’s Yungaba House launch to market

Frasers Property Australia has taken the wraps off one of the most unique residential projects ever created in Brisbane.
Frasers Property will this weekend launch its highly-anticipated masterpiece of restoration - The Residences located within Brisbane’s 130-year-old landmark Yungaba House at Kangaroo Point.
Reflecting modern luxury wrapped in an elegant historic shell, The Residences are the creation of 10 individual trophy homes within one of the city’s most cherished heritage buildings.
The homes, which have been more than a decade in the making, are being exclusively marketed by private appointment only and have already attracted significant international interest.
Prospective buyers can immerse themselves in The Residences’ extraordinary offering in four furnished display apartments that showcase the unique and lovingly restored riverfront lifestyle at Yungaba House.
Cameron Leggatt, General Manager Residential Queensland for Frasers Property Australia, said The Residences blended luxury with history to create remarkable living spaces never before seen in Brisbane and unlikely to be repeated.
“This is a trophy property in terms of its compelling Brisbane heritage, the careful and elegant restoration that has taken place and its riverfront location beside the CBD,” Mr Leggatt said.
“The masterful fusion of old and new is a testament to the dedicated and detailed work of the design and construction teams over the past decade.”
Mr Leggatt said strong early enquiry had resulted in the required pre-launch sales with interest intensifying now that leading Australian construction company, Hutchinson Builders, had completed the construction phase and Frasers Property is ready to again go to market.
Each of The Residences features original woodwork throughout, including sash windows all of which have been re-glazed and re-engineered for the modern residence.

Living spaces are enhanced by high ceilings, chandeliers in some homes and large wooden doors with copies of the original iron keys.
Facing east to the water, the three and four-bedroom homes have modern kitchens and amenities, complemented by high-tech security throughout.
Each private residence blends the elegance of history with the ultimate in modern amenities to deliver a rare offering that is destined to become Brisbane’s most exclusive residential address
The homes overlook the 3,000sqm heritage-listed gardens and lush parklands that surround Yungaba House.
The adjacent Recreation Centre provides residents-only access to a private gymnasium and 25m infinity-edge pool.
An integral part of the Brisbane city landscape for generations, Yungaba House, dates to 1887 when it was established as a facility to house new immigrants landing in Brisbane.
In later years, it was used as a temporary refuge for destitute soldiers returning from the Boer War. In the 1930s it became an accommodation centre for workers building the new Story Bridge, as well as a design studio for bridge engineer John Bradfield, and later as a hospital during World War II.
Yungaba House was used by various community groups during the 1990s, including BEMAC, and was acquired by Frasers Property Australia (then Australand) in 2003.
The Residences are priced from $1.795 million to $4.25 million and can be inspected by private appointment.
