This National Reconciliation Week, we pause to reflect. From 27 May to 3 June, Australians come together to honour the shared histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and to consider the role each of us plays in building a more reconciled future. Mambourin sits on the traditional lands of the Wadawurrung and Wathaurong peoples. Many of our local schools carry Wadawurrung language names, including Laa Yulta Primary School which means 'many stones', chosen through consultation with Traditional Owners. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

Some of the best parks in Melbourne's west are already open right here in Mambourin. Barrabool Boulevard Playground, Heidelberg Park and Shillings Park are all up and running and well loved by locals. And with over 22ha of open space planned for Mambourin Green, there’s plenty more on the way. A different park for each day of the week.
