Buyers race for riverfront homes in Olympic suburb

A collection of ultra-luxury freehold riverfront homes in Brisbane’s most prestigious Olympic suburb has all but sold out.

Only two homes remain in this stage of Rivers Reach, with a further two homes remaining off market until the project approaches completion in early 2023.

Scott Ullman, General Manager Development Queensland at Frasers Property Australia, said construction at Rivers Reach – the final riverfront release within its 2.5ha Hamilton Reach master planned community – commenced last week.

“As our last pocket of land on the absolute riverfront, we knew we had to create something extraordinary,” Mr Ullman said.

“The living and entertaining areas of the two- and three-level freehold homes, designed by bureau^proberts, frame panoramic views of the Brisbane River, and a selection of homes will have their own private pool and lift.

“Every home features four ensuited bedrooms, a separate powder room, multipurpose room and three-car basement garage.”

Research released earlier in the year by PRD forecast home values in Hamilton to increase by more than 140% between 2021 and 2032.

Mr Ullman said Hamilton’s role in the 2032 Olympics has seen planned infrastructure for the area brought forward, including the $67 million Breakfast Creek Green bridge and the $12.35 million upgrade to MacArthur Avenue to further improve connectivity with new footpaths, dedicated cycle lanes, and traffic lights.

“This new infrastructure will enhance what is already an extraordinary lifestyle precinct, where masterplanned homes, parklands and cafes converge along the Brisbane River,” he said.

“Rivers Reach presents the final freehold riverfront homes at Hamilton Reach, only moments from the Eat Street markets, Portside, and Racecourse Road fashion and dining precinct, and just six kilometres from the Brisbane CBD.”

Prices for the 11 riverfront homes at Rivers Reach started from $3.39 million. The $37 million development broke ground last week, with future residents taking shovels to soil to mark the milestone.

The development will be brought to life by leading Queensland builder McNab, which is set to employ hundreds of workers during the construction phase.

McNab Managing Director Michael McNab said the company’s support local policy meant that most workers delivering Rivers Reach are local.

“McNab is proud to be a Queensland-based business and on Rivers Reach we will be employing nearly 50 skilled workers onsite at peak times during construction, and up to 500 workers throughout the entire project,” Mr McNab said.

“Our job is to build this luxurious project to the premium level the buyers deserve. No stone can be left unturned, and we can’t wait to see this rare block of absolute riverfront land transformed into an iconic piece of architecture right on the edge of the Brisbane River.”

Construction of Rivers Reach is expected to be completed in early 2023.
