The Salvation Army, Greater Liverpool Corps NSW is seeking volunteers to help with a variety of family-friendly roles for their Christmas Warehouse, from giving out toys to the community, hamper packing, gift wrapping, serving Christmas meals and more. 5. Make your own Christmas decorations
Are the Christmas cards piling up every year? Give them a new life and make them into festive decorations that the whole family can make together at home. Collect your favourite card designs and cut them into shapes as garlands, and then string them on jute to be hung by the tree. If you don't have any old Christmas cards you can make your own wrapping paper for a personal touch to your gift-giving. All you need is a roll of brown paper, a potato, a cookie cutter and paint. Gather the kids, turn up your favourite Christmas tunes and start your new annual holiday tradition for fun and long-lasting memories!
