Five Best Brunch Spots in Ed.Square

Five Best Brunch Spots In Ed.Square.

03 October 2022

Brunch is arguably the most important meal of the day. It’s a great excuse to sleep in until midday, then indulge in burgers and a cheeky mimosa (without feeling guilty about it).

Roll out of bed and chomp your way through Ed.Square’s five best places for belated brekky and a brew.

1. Blueprint
Café
Whether you prefer to kick the day off with a single origin espresso, a creamy avocado frappe or a sneaky mimosa, Blueprint has you sorted. This family-owned café is known for its fresh, house-made waffles, served with smashed avocado or dressed in maple syrup, teaberry compote, almond praline and honeycomb ice cream.

Stick around until 12pm to indulge in their fried chicken and waffle special, which is also available on the kid’s menu. Sounds good right? See you there for brunch on the corner of Henderson Road and Sergeant Street.

2. Degani

Start your morning the right way with a hearty brunch at Degani. Locals recommend the chilli scrambled eggs, which are served on rye bread with avocado, halloumi and sriracha hollandaise. For the sweet tooths, there’s churro crusted French toast, vibrant matcha waffles and indulgent lattes in flavours like rocky road, salted caramel, Biscoff and Oreo. PS: There are also babycinos for the little ones and puppuccinos for your four-legged friends.

There’s also an impressive line-up of freshly squeezed juices, loose leaf teas, tap beers and quirky cocktails. Pick your poison, we won’t judge!

The little ones will be impressed by their dedicated kid’s menu and can run wild post-feed in the South Mall playground, which is located just next door. It’s no surprise The Shed Café won Outstanding Café in the recent Liverpool City Local Business Awards.
