At Five Farms, we’re proud to celebrate the local businesses making a difference in our wider community — like Casey Hearing Led by Khatija Halabi, an audiologist with over 20 years of experience in Australia and overseas, Casey Hearing takes a holistic approach to hearing care. Khatija’s focus goes beyond test results — she considers each patient’s lifestyle, environment and wellbeing to offer truly personalised support. As chair of Women Making it Work (WMIW) and an active community voice, Khatija brings care, integrity and connection to everything she does — both in and outside the clinic.

At Five Farms, we’re always looking for ways to connect with what matters most — health, sustainability, and community. That’s why we love the work of Cultivating Community, a Melbourne-based organisation dedicated to growing healthy food, strong communities, and fair food systems. With the change in seasons, now’s the perfect time to start thinking about your autumn veggie patch. Here are a few tips, inspired by Cultivating Community : 🌿 Leafy greens love cooler weather – think silverbeet, spinach, kale, and lettuces. 🌱 Root vegetables thrive now – carrots, beetroot and turnips are great choices. 🪴 Don’t forget herbs – parsley, coriander and chives all do well as temps drop. 🌧️ Use mulch to protect your soil from temperature swings and heavy rains.
