What’s happening at Five Farms?

We are pleased to advise that works within the Five Farms community are progressing well.

Thank you to those who attended and volunteered at the Mother's Day event. If you're interested in becoming a community volunteer register your EOI here.
The Garden Workshop held at the end of May was great success.
A reminder that the Business Networking with Women Making It Work meeting happens the third Wednesday over each month.

This National Reconciliation Week, we pause to reflect. From 27 May to 3 June, Australians come together to honour the shared histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and to consider the role each of us plays in building a more reconciled future. Five Farms sits on the traditional lands of the Bunurong people. Our local secondary school carries the name Birranga, meaning feathertail glider in Boonwurrung language, chosen through consultation with Traditional Owners. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

If you've ever wanted to show family or friends what Five Farms is all about, this one's worth sharing. This episode of New Neighbourhoods takes a look at the project — the parks, walking and cycling trails, Allendale Residents' Club, and what's still to come with the town centre, schools and childcare. A good snapshot of why so many families are choosing Clyde North. Head to YouTube to watch the full video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ddxm43VQVJs

Birranga College opened its doors to its first Year 7 students earlier this year, and it's been wonderful to watch the school come to life right here in Clyde North. There’s also been a lot of firsts this month! Including, the first: 🏊‍♂️ Swimming Carnival 🏏 Interschool Sports Day ✌️ Harmony Day Celebrations For Five Farms families with children approaching secondary school age, having a local government secondary school in the neighbourhood is something we're really proud to see. The school will add a new year level each year, growing alongside our community. Head to the Birranga College Facebook page for the latest news and enrolment information.
