Great Neighbourhood Survey
Key insights into thriving communities & resident satisfaction.
Why we measure resident satisfaction
Frasers Property Australia has been creating distinctive neighbourhoods across the country for more than a century, recognising that great communities are about more than just good design.
What matters is truly understanding what residents want and need. The Great Neighbourhood Survey is how Frasers Property listens to everyone who calls its communities home — whether they’re first home buyers, tenants, or have bought their next home.
Honest feedback from residents shows what’s working well and where things can improve. The survey keeps the Frasers Property team accountable and helps measure success as it shapes places where people feel proud to belong. It also guides the Community Development team in creating programs and events that reflect what residents value most, helping every neighbourhood become stronger, smarter, and happier.
Key survey findings: shaping stronger communities
For the fourth year running, the 2026 Great Neighbourhood Survey provides valuable insights into what makes our communities thrive and where we can enhance the resident experience. These results highlight opportunities and guide our commitment to creating places where everyone feels proud to belong.
Resident satisfaction
Exceptional resident satisfaction & growing advocacy
The latest survey results show that more than 8 in 10* residents are satisfied living in a Frasers Property Australia community, demonstrating consistently strong positive sentiment, with 84% of residents satisfied where they live within a Frasers Property community.
*84% of residents are ’satisfied or ‘very satisfied’ with living in a Frasers Property Australia community.
Resident connection
Fostering community connection & belonging
Frasers Property Australia’s 2026 survey reveals that 81% of homeowners living in a Frasers Property Australia community feel like their community is a vibrant neighbourhood to live in, whilst 85% of homeowners agree it is a place for everyone.
Safety rooted in social bonds and quality environments
Residents' perception of safety is closely tied to the quality of shared spaces and how well they know the people around them. In fact, familiarity is the top driver of this sense of security — supported by the 2026 Great Neighbourhood Survey, where an impressive 80% of homeowners living in a Frasers Property community reported knowing their neighbours by first name.
Physical design and community activity also play major roles in shaping resident peace of mind. Well-maintained public spaces, seeing other residents out and active in the neighbourhood and thoughtful streetscape design and lighting are identified by residents as essential for creating a reassuring and visible environment.
Resident loneliness
Beating the national loneliness average
We're proud to create communities where residents feel connected and supported. In fact, 67% of residents in our communities rarely or never experience loneliness, compared with the Australian average of 34% (Ending Loneliness Together State of the Nation Report 2025).
Even more encouraging, only around 3-4% of residents report feeling lonely often or always. These results reflect the strong sense of connection, belonging and community that residents experience when they live in a Frasers Property Australia community.
Addressing loneliness across life stages
While connection is a hallmark of our communities, we know that lifestage can play a part in feelings of isolation. Our data indicates that mid-life age groups (35–44-year-olds) and couples with children at home tend to report higher levels of loneliness. That's where our Community Development teams come in. They bring neighbours together through community programs and events that spark friendships and create important new social networks: playgroups, book clubs, games nights, fitness classes, gardening groups—the list goes on. And it's working: 81% of homeowners living in a Frasers Property community participated in local activations during 2025.
Partnering to Build Belonging
To help address social isolation, Frasers Property Australia is proud to partner with Ending Loneliness Together. This collaboration helps us translate national research into local action, supporting initiatives like Loneliness Awareness Week across our communities. By combining their expertise with our Community Development programs, we design neighbourhoods that actively foster connection and support those who need it most.
