PUBLIC NOTICE | CHANGE OF ACCESS TO MCIVOR RESERVE DUE TO ROAD UPGRADE WORKS

12 April 2024

We would like to inform all local residents and visitors to McIvor Reserve of an important update regarding access to McIvor Reserve, which is located adjacent to the Bradmill site. Starting from October 9th, 2023, and expected to continue until December 2024, there will be changes in access due to road upgrades in the area. Please take note of the following key points:

  • Access Restrictions to McIvor Reserve from Francis Street: All footpath and vehicle access to McIvor Reserve will be restricted from Francis Street, directly across from Roberts Street. Please plan your visits accordingly and use alternate routes.
  • Alternate Vehicle and Pedestrian Access: Alternate vehicle and pedestrian access will be via Hawkhurst Street, which is adjacent to the Yarraville-Footscray Bowling Club. This access point will be open and available for your convenience throughout the construction period.
  • Alternative Parking Options: During this period, alternative parking options are available in the carpark behind the Yarraville-Footscray Bowling Club, or the dedicated parking area for McIvor Reserve sports fields and dog park via Hawkhurst Street.
  • Dog Park Gate Access: Dog Park Gate Access: Roadworks adjacent to McIvor Reserve fenced dog park will be extending into the north-western corner of park. This map shows the changes to pedestrian and vehicle access during this time. Please follow all directional signage and fencing in place and walk and drive safely. Duration of closure and alternate access arrangements in place: Mid April 2024 - 30 July 2024.

We understand that these changes may disrupt your usual routines, but they are necessary to ensure the safety and improvement of our local road infrastructure. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to enhance the accessibility and overall experience at McIvor Reserve.
