The latest feature coming to Ed.Square, Western Sydney’s newest game-changing community, has been revealed.

Frasers Property Australia has announced Event Cinemas will take centre-stage in the new Ed.Square Town Centre, meaning locals and visitors will be able to catch the latest blockbusters, family flicks, kids movies, indie classics and international films in a connected and convenient entertainment precinct.

A trip to Event Cinemas at Ed.Square will mean big screens, star treatment, a marketplace food and beverage offering and a new cinema experience offering the ultimate in guests’ comfort.

Peri Macdonald, Executive General Manager – Retail, Frasers Property Australia, looks forward to rolling out the red carpet for Event Cinemas at Ed.Square.

“Our vision for the Ed.Square Town Centre has always been to create a place for people not just to shop, but to spend time, socialise and enjoy experiences together. To attract a quality cinema operator is at the heart of this vision and we’re thrilled to have Event Cinemas on board,” Mr Macdonald says.

“Along with a vibrant dining offer and activated town square space, Event Cinemas brings another dimension to the Ed.Square experience and will be important to position the shopping precinct as a destination for all of Western Sydney, drawing people from the immediate catchment and beyond,” he says.

Luke Mackey, General Manager of Entertainment for Event Cinemas, says: “Event Cinemas at Ed.Square will be one of the world’s best cinemas, setting a new global benchmark in comfort, design and entertainment experience. We look forward to revealing this groundbreaking new site to the community.”

Frasers Property has secured leases over 30% of the available 25,000 sqm of retail space in stage one of Ed.Square Town Centre, with residents set to enjoy the convenience of a full-line Coles supermarket and a Liquorland store.

Other retail uses already committed include a gym, childcare centre, hair salon, nail bar, beauty shop, massage parlour, barber, newsagent, fishmonger, bar & grill, Chinese restaurant, Indian restaurant, several cafés, steak house, sushi restaurant, Thai restaurant, burger restaurant, medical centre, dentist, chemist and optometrist.

Stage one of Ed.Square Town Centre – including the new Event Cinemas and Coles – is expected to open in the second half of 2020 and comprise around 90 shops integrated with a landmark 68-metre high residential tower atop the town centre.

Ed.Square’s shopping and entertainment precinct will be accessed via the Eat Street dining district, which will offer an array of culinary choices, while the Town Square will host live entertainment and a children’s water play area.

“With Edmondson Park train station adjacent to the town centre, we expect people will come from far and wide to seek out the unique and memorable experience the new Ed.Square Town Centre will provide,” Mr Macdonald says.
