Growing the South-West | New units above coming Ed.Square town centre now selling

08 July 2019

Aaron Wilson was after an investment property when he heard about Ed.Square, Frasers Property's game-changing mixed-use community in the South-West.
Now, he's thinking of moving there himself to live above Ed.Square Town Centre when his new unit is ready.
Aaron, who owns a home in Campbelltown, knows the importance of location when buying property and says proximity to shops and public transport were important.
"I live in a pretty good location behind Macarthur Square shopping centre at Campbelltown," he said.
"You can walk to the shops and the station but Ed.Square is even better.
"It'll have a train station, shops, entertainment, tavern, Event Cinemas and an Eat Street.
"I was keen to buy off the plan in stage 1."
He paid $445,000 for a one-bedroom unit, which he said was good value when compared with a one-bedroom property he considered buying at Campbelltown, similar in price but not new and lacking the amenity and lifestyle of Ed.Square Town Centre.
Aaron said buying during an early housing release let him take advantage of potential capital growth.
He bought it as an investment but is now considering selling or leasing his Campbelltown home and moving to Ed.Square, which will welcome its first residents in the second half of 2020.
Units are now available to buy in The Emerson building, which will be above the Town Centre and opposite the green open space of the future Central Park.
Edmondson Park station is just 150 metres away.
One-bedroom, one-bathroom units with a car space are selling for $455,000 to $495,000.
One-bedroom units with an added flexi room cost $490,000 to $535,000, two-bedroom units cost $610,000 to $695,000 and two-bedroom units with a flexi room cost $625,000 to $710,000.
The Emerson building includes a private residents-only podium level with swimming pool, barbecue facilities and landscaped gardens as well as secure basement parking.
