Developer reveals major new 2100-home community launched at New Beith
A major developer has unveiled plans for Queensland’s newest master planned community as housing demand soars across the southeast.
Frasers Property Australia is behind ‘Round Mountain’, a 24ha residential community set to include 2,100 homes at New Beith, Logan.
It will house more than 6,300 people within a decade, bringing much needed new housing supply within the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area.

“Round Mountain will become a series of villages connected by a network of natural bushland surrounds, seasonal waterways and conservation areas that all lead to Round Mountain,” said Scott Ullman, Frasers Property Australia general manager.
“Every aspect of the community is designed to complement the landscape, blending natural beauty and urban living with the mountain as the hero of this community, conveniently positioned between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

The first release includes 45 lots ranging in size from 300 sqm to 720 sqm, with prices starting at $370,000.
“Ahead of the launch, we’ve already received more than 1,000 enquiries from families looking to settle down in our scenic connected community,” he said.
It comes as Logan experiences rapid population growth with 139,500 new residents expected to move to the city by 2041, driving high demand for new housing in the region.
Australian Government data this month revealed Logan was the top city in Queensland for first home buyers using the Federal Government’s five per cent deposit scheme.

Mr Ullman said future residents and the wider community would benefit from planned infrastructure, sporting facilities and a community precinct at Round Mountain.
“Proposed future stages, include a retail and community precinct at the heart of the neighbourhood, placing residents closer to everyday conveniences with spaces to connect and unwind near their home,” he said.
“We’re also significantly investing in infrastructure within the masterplan, from road upgrades to a new traffic bridge over the railway as a convenient entry point to the community.
“With a trail network, seasonal waterways and conservation areas the community is designed to support residents to live an energetic and connected lifestyle.”

Mr Ullman said 50 per cent of Round Mountain would be dedicated to parklands including walking and biking trails, and preserved bushland corridors.
“We’re targeting a 6-Star Green Star Communities Rating to ensure we protect and preserve the natural environment, while making everyday life more sustainable for residents,” he said.
The community will be built over the next 10 years with first residents expected to move in next year.
Frasers Property Australia has previously delivered the nearby Brookhaven at Bahrs Scrub and The Quarry at Keperra on Brisbane’s north.
