New Beith development booms as first home buyers seek green space

Frasers Property Australia’s newest residential community at New Beith, Round Mountain, is gathering strong interest particularly from first home buyers, following the successful sell out of the first release just days after its launch.

The rare 246-ha residential community encircling the base of Round Mountain will deliver 2,100 homes south-west of Brisbane and provide a much-needed housing boost to the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area over the next decade.

Frasers Property Australia General Manager Development Queensland, Scott Ullman, said more than half of the community’s early purchasers were first home buyers.

“With the first release now sold out, we are confident the project will continue to be highly sought after, especially given its focus on nature, everyday liveability and location within the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area.

“With an already established community of almost 2,000 families at our Brookhaven community in Bahrs Scrub, it’s easy to see what Round Mountain could look like.”

Mr Ullman said Round Mountain was perfect for families and upgraders looking for a nature-rich lifestyle.

“Round Mountain has been carefully designed to make entering the property market more achievable, with a range of lot sizes and price points suited to first home buyers looking to build and grow into their home over time,” he said.

Newlyweds Aimee, 22 and Marcus Cocis, 20, purchased a lot at Round Mountain on the release weekend, drawn to the nature-filled setting at the masterplanned community.

“Since getting married in September, finding our first property has been a priority,” Mrs Cocis said. “An established home or land were both options, but building something from scratch really appealed to us over renovating.

“We have seen what Frasers has done with Brookhaven and when Round Mountain came up, its strong connection to nature really stood out. The peace and quiet, along with the overall feel of the area, made it an easy choice.

“Our plan is to build a family-friendly, modern minimalist home that embraces the natural surroundings, with light-filled spaces within a vibrant, well-connected community. Ideally, it’s somewhere we’ll stay for quite some time.
