Berwick Waters has officially welcomed two new schools, now open to students from Prep to Year 7.

Turrun Primary School

Clyde North’s newest primary school has been named Turrun Primary School. Turrun (pronounced turr-run) is a Bunurong word meaning she oak. Turrun Primary School is now officially open and offers places for up to 900 students, welcoming students from Prep to Year 6.

Kristy Miller, an educator with over 15 years of experience and a commitment to student development, has been named the school’s principal.

Wulerrp Secondary College

Clyde North’s newest secondary school has been named Wulerrp Secondary College. Wulerrp (pronounced wool-erp) is a Bunurong word meaning tea tree. Wulerrp Secondary College, on Soldiers Road, is now officially open and accommodates up to 800 students. It accepts only Grade 7 students in its first year of operation, progressing by year level thereafter.

Leanne Winfield has been announced as the school’s principal. With a career spanning 30 years, Leanne is passionate about reading, writing, literacy and teacher development.

The school includes an administration and library building, community hub, learning neighbourhood, STEAM building, hardcourts, carparks and a temporary sports field.
