A new government secondary school, being delivered by the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) will open within Frasers Property Australia’s Five Farms community in Clyde North for term one next year. It will be able to enrol up to 550 students once complete.

Construction has started on Clyde Creek North Secondary School (interim name) on its site at 440 Heather Grove with a design by Architectus.

The school will welcome Grade Seven students for the first year with subsequent grades following by year level thereafter.

Key facilities will be ready for the first cohort of students on day one of first term 2026, with remaining facilities expected to be finished by term two.

The school will include a science building, technology building and library and administration building as well as a learning neighbourhood, sports field, hard courts and car park.

Clyde Creek's Learning Neighbourhood

Clyde Creek North Secondary School (interim name) will be the second school within Five Farms after St Josephine Bakhita Primary School opened for term one this year, with eventual places for 700 students.

Nick Hamer-Smith has been named principal of the new secondary school. He has 24 years of experience teaching in government schools and has studied special needs education. His most recent leadership position was as co-principal of Glen Eira College.

Silo Park at Five Farms

Many families already call Five Farms home, with the community to eventually include 1,600 homes along with a future proposed town centre with supermarket, cafes and speciality retail stores.

New resident Vlad Kasy moved into Five Farms with his wife Karen last year and said they have both been impressed with the work that has gone on to create a sense of community from the moment people moved into their new homes.

“Here people gather together and that is what I really wanted to see, a real community. Since we’ve moved in there’s been some really nice events which we’ve been invited to. It’s really community friendly and I’m excited to see what’s next,” Vlad said.

Five Farms is located, 54km southeast of Melbourne, has convenient connections to Eastlink and the Monash Fwy for access to the CBD and Mornington Peninsula.

Sarah Bloom, Frasers Property Australian General Manager Development Victoria, said the progress on the new secondary school meant when many Five Farms families move into their new homes there will be education options for Prep through to secondary students right within the community.

“We have an established series of programs and events to help people connect to their neighbours and form friendships, and the opening of the second of two new schools is really going to supercharge that process,” she said.

“We know that schools can really become a focal point for a community so we couldn’t be more excited for Clyde Creek North Secondary School (interim name) to open its doors.”

Land lots now available for purchase within Five Farms range in price from $400,000 for a 294 m2 lot to $590,000 for a 618 m2 lot.

There are also house and land packages available within Five Farms from a range of builders.

The Five Farms Sales Centre is located at 100 Wild Goose Way, Clyde North. It’s open daily from 11am to 5pm. Phone Frasers Property on 13 38 38 or visit fivefarms.com.au.
