National Reconciliation Week invites us to reflect on our shared history and work toward a more connected future. This year, City of Casey will be hosting a free community event on Thursday 29 May at Bunjil Place Plaza to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. The evening includes a Welcome to Country, live music by Charlie Needs Braces, cultural activities and a screening of The Last Daughter. Storytime and film bookings are essential. Everyone is welcome to attend and take part in this important conversation. Visit events.connectedlibraries.org.au for details.

At Five Farms, we’re proud to celebrate the local businesses making a difference in our wider community — like Casey Hearing Led by Khatija Halabi, an audiologist with over 20 years of experience in Australia and overseas, Casey Hearing takes a holistic approach to hearing care. Khatija’s focus goes beyond test results — she considers each patient’s lifestyle, environment and wellbeing to offer truly personalised support. As chair of Women Making it Work (WMIW) and an active community voice, Khatija brings care, integrity and connection to everything she does — both in and outside the clinic.
