Sometimes checking in starts with something as simple as a conversation. It could happen while you’re out for a walk, chatting over the fence or sharing a cuppa with a neighbour, friend or family member. This R U OK Day, it’s a reminder to make time for the people around us and ask, “Are you OK?” 💛 And importantly, take the time to listen to the answer.

Father’s Day doesn’t need an elaborate plan. Sometimes the simple things are the best. If you’re keeping things local this weekend, here are three easy ways to make Dad’s day: ☕ Start the morning with his favourite coffee or breakfast in bed. 🌿 Head outside for a family walk around the wetlands. 🍴 Have a family BBQ or picnic at the park. And if the kids are involved, a homemade card always deserves a spot on the list. However you spend it, make it a day for slowing down and enjoying some time together.
