Burwood Brickworks Construction Update - Ardent Collection and Terrace Collection

Cranes come down as apartments top out – Here’s the latest on Ardent and Terrace apartments

Welcome to the latest Burwood Brickworks Construction Update.

We’re excited to keep you informed about how the project is progressing, give you insights into the construction process and ensure you’re up to date with the development of your new community.

The Terrace apartments building has now been topped out, with its crane currently being demobilised to make way for other works to get underway. This includes façade works on the southern elevation, which have now begun, while basement blockwork has now been completed. Stepping inside, fire services have been installed up to level 3, with all main corridor services now nearing completion on level 1. Floor preparation is also nearing completion on the building’s upper levels, with the last of the propping formwork set to be removed any day. Meanwhile the Ardent apartments building has already seen its crane removed from the site and internal works are rapidly taking shape. The site amenities that were being constructed within the basement to facilitate our project team’s workspaces downstairs are now operational, providing greater capacity for detailed interior works to progress. Upstairs, the main fire services have now been installed on all levels and the main corridor services have been completed across levels 1, 2 and 3. Finalisation work on these vital services over levels 4 and 5 is currently underway. All levels have now been stripped and the concrete patching and sanding has been finished on all levels. The most visible works currently underway are the installation of the windows, with works underway on the lower floors up to level 3 and sub-frame work ongoing across all levels.

Construction Progress

We’re pleased to report that both the apartment buildings at Burwood Brickworks have now reached their full heights, allowing for the removal of cranes from the site.

The Terrace Collection building has now been topped out, with its crane currently being demobilised to make way for other works to get underway. This includes façade works on the southern elevation, which have now begun, while basement blockwork has now been completed.

Stepping inside, fire services have been installed up to level 3, with all main corridor services now nearing completion on level 1. Floor preparation is also nearing completion on the building’s upper levels, with the last of the propping formwork set to be removed any day.

Meanwhile the Ardent Collection building has already seen its crane removed from the site and internal works are rapidly taking shape.

The site amenities that were being constructed within the basement to facilitate our project team’s workspaces downstairs are now operational, providing greater capacity for detailed interior works to progress.

Upstairs, the main fire services have now been installed on all levels and the main corridor services have been completed across levels 1, 2 and 3. Finalisation work on these vital services over levels 4 and 5 is currently underway.

General update - Village Green

Anticipation is building for the opening of the Village Green, with works now very close to completion.

Our contract partner is currently undertaking defect rectification works to ensure everything is in tip-top shape. Meanwhile our team have their fingers and toes tightly crossed for a week of good weather so they can lay the lush new turf within the basin.

We’re getting excited to see this wonderful community space taking shape and look forward to being able to welcome you and your family there soon!

Settlement Forecast

The settlement timeframe of your apartment has not changed and is anticipated for Second-quarter of 2023.
