AILA 2023 Landscape and Architecture Awards

We are thrilled to announce that two of our key amenities have been nominated for this prestigious award.

13 June 2023

Tributary Street Park is nominated in the Play Spaces category and is the flagship play space for the growing community of 1,600 families here at The Grove. Underpinned by the design philosophy “by the river”, The Grove’s landscape elements celebrate the estate’s connection with the Werribee River.

With an elevated adventure tunnel as its centrepiece, Tributary Street Park sparks excitement and a sense of exploration among all ages. The striking sculptural structures create a challenging play experience for senior children and are a visual landmark for residents across the estate.

Karwan Primary School is nominated in the Health and Education Landscape category with key landscape components that include a permeable streetfront interface and welcome landscape, a central north-south learning street connecting the built elements, a school heart and main gathering space, outdoor learning areas, junior active play areas, a senior outdoor play space incorporating a gym circuit, and a kitchen garden.

The Landscape Architecture Awards program provides a key vehicle for the promotion of the achievements and work of landscape architects in Australia. The award provides the opportunity for public and peer recognition of landscape architect’s work.

Winners from the first round will progress to National Landscape Architecture Awards program.
