Port Coogee Christmas Festival 2025 

What a fantastic night at the Port Coogee Christmas Festival! Families packed the marina for our biggest event yet, made possible by the Port Coogee Community Association, Frasers Property, Barefoot Entertainment and the generous support of the City of Cockburn.

Santa made a jolly entrance with Sam, Marina Manager, via boat after his long trip from the North Pole, much to the delight of all the kids (and plenty of parents!). But the highlight of the night came at 7.30pm with the first-ever lighting of the pine trees along the foreshore—a moment five years in the making.

This project began with the vision of the effervescent late Denise Mitchell, who dreamed of bringing permanent festive lighting to the Marina. With Brad Mitchell carrying that vision forward—and thanks to the generous funding and support of the City of Cockburn, the first six pine trees have now been illuminated, with hopes to extend the lighting along the entire Marina frontage in the years ahead.

A special thank you to West Ward Councillors Phebe Clark and Kevin Allen, and to Julie Reidy from the City of Cockburn for her dedicated project management. With the community gathered, Brad led the countdown—and the lights switched on to a stunning display.

Port Coogee Christmas Lights Competition

Christmas 10K Swim

The Christmas 10K Swim is WA's premier 10km Rottnest qualifying swim - enjoyed by more than double the number of swimmers of any other 10km race in WA because of its unique approach of "swimmers first" and a focus on creating an event "by swimmers for swimmers".

Frasers Property and Port Coogee are proud to be the sponsor of ‘Santa’s Lap’ 3.4km in this Community Christmas swim event at beautiful Coogee Beach.
