Notification for Publication of draft Preliminary Documentation under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).

The following notice is published pursuant to Section 95A(3) of the EPBC Act.

The proposed action will involve the development of a 61 hectare Commercial Development at 410 Cooper Street and 315 O’Herns Road, Epping, Victoria (EPBC 2018/8167) to be undertaken by Australand C&I Land Holdings Pty Ltd. The location of the action is the area bounded by Hume Highway to the east, O’Herns Road to the north and Cooper Street to the south. 

The proposed action is a controlled action under the EPBC Act. The controlling provision under the EPBC Act is listed threatened species and communities (sections 18 and 18A). The relevant matter of national environmental significance is Golden Sun Moth Synemon plana.

Documentation relating to the proposal will be on display, free of charge between 18/5/19 and 01/06/19 at the following locations:

  • Whittlesea City Council, Planning Department Civic Centre Office, 25 Ferres Boulevard, South Morang VIC 3752.
  • Department of Environment, Land, Water & Planning, 8 Nicholson St, East Melbourne VIC 3002.
  • Department of Environment and Energy, Canberra: email the Department at epbc.referrals@environment.gov.au to arrange a copy for reviewing at the Department.
